For decades, we’ve, TranZitions, walked alongside young people with Autism and other related diagnoses, from early intervention programs, to middle school supports, to high school IEPs. The pattern is always the same: the safety net is strong in school, and then it disappears.
Over and over, returning students have told us:
“We had support every step of the way in school. But once we left high school, it felt like navigating in the dark.”
Here’s the hard truth:
Globally, unemployment for adults with Autism and other related diagnoses is as high as 80–85%.
In the U.S., unemployment or underemployment remains around 40%, far higher than for any other disability group.
Meanwhile, the U.S. spends hundreds of thousands of dollars per child on early intervention (up to 40 hours a week of ABA therapy). But if the statistics reflect that adulthood brings unemployment and exclusion, where does that investment go?
As professionals, families, and investors, we need to ask:
Are we preparing young adults with Autism and related diagnoses for adulthood, not just childhood?
Does early investment translate into lifelong inclusion and productivity?
What is the cost, social and economic, when motivated young adults are locked out of the workforce?
Because “adulting” isn’t just living independently. It’s working, paying taxes, feeling productive, and belonging.
EVOLVE was created to fill that gap.
EVOLVE PROGRAM CURRICULUM AND CONSULTING
EVOLVE is the first comprehensive employment program built specifically for young adults on the spectrum (including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and other learning differences). While over 80% of adults with these neurological differences remain unemployed or underemployed, EVOLVE has achieved remarkable results: 83 of our 88 participants (94%) completed the program, with over 80% moving directly into jobs, internships, or further education. Many graduates have maintained employment for years, proving that people who think differently can be valuable, long-term employees when given proper support and training.
When you purchase the EVOLVE Program, your package includes a comprehensive 10-day staff training and implementation workshop, the 11 month curriculum 15 hours of programming a week with every aspect you will need to implement the program.
The training ensures every member of your team is fully prepared to deliver EVOLVE with fidelity, confidence, and consistency.
